Today we took it easy and ventured out later in the morning. The last few days we have walked a lot and I feel muscle pain in my calves.
Maurice bought himself a new phone, an OPPO and now is enjoying installing stuff. Whilst Maurice was waiting in line for his tax refund voucher after buying his phone (at the Service Centre of the shopping mall Big C) I watched people shopping for groceries. In Thailand no one has been informed of that it is not done using plastic bags for your wares (see pic)! Also I noticed Durian in the fruit section and decided to wait with this experience.
After a great shopping day we took the water taxi out of the town and got no further than the stop near Khao San Road so went for a gander. We had a drink at The One (The Club) and the dj there played so well we stayed for another and then even for dinner. He was really good at mixing music.
It was great being on the KSR again and seeing that things have changed and also that so many things have not. Still people asking you to come for a massage, have a suit made, buy a bucket of booze or offering you a fried spider in a stick (or young girls).
